About The Cosmic Gift

The Cosmic Gift's was created in 1998. At that time it did not have its own domain name and it went through several generic titles as it was hosted on free servers. It was created as a platform to tell the story about my rescue. God pulled me from a path of death and set me on the path to His Kingdom.

Eventually, it was decided to name the site "The Cosmic Gift". This name was chosen because the Bible tells us that, as believers, we are joint-heirs with Christ and will inherit His Kingdom along with us. I believe that the Kingdom is all of creation, including planets, stars, and things beyond our imagination. This is the gift of the cosmos – or creation.

God is so good to us and His grace measures further than the deepest cosmos. He blesses us with gifts in abundance, the best of all is forgiveness or our many sins by the sacrifice of His son.

Do you need forgiveness of sins?

Have you ever told a lie or taken anything that didn’t belong to you (even something small)?

Have you ever lusted for someone who wasn’t your spouse? Jesus said this is the same as committing adultery because God doesn’t only judge the outward acts but He knows the thoughts and intent of our hearts and will judge us accordingly.

Have you always obeyed your parents and always put God first in your life?

If your anything like me, and the Bible says that you are, then you have broken most, if not all, of God’s commandments. God gave us his commandments to show us His requirements for righteousness. He is perfect is holiness and righteousness and for us to be in His presence we must be too.

The problem is that we have all messed up early on. We have sinned against God continuously and our sins require judgment. But God in his love and mercy for us had a plan. God sent His son, Jesus Christ to take our place.

Jesus Christ is God, born as a human. He is the only human to ever live a blameless, perfectly sinless life. He was tempted in every way that we are, but he never faltered. He was the spotless lamb, born as a sacrifice because of our sin.

No other human could have taken our place on that cross because every other person was already guilty. Jesus willingly let Himself be beaten, mocked, humiliated and then bore God’s wrath upon Himself for us! He suffered and died and was raised from the dead three days later exactly as it was prophesied.

If you have not been born again then you too can be set free today. Jesus said that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you will be saved.
Call out to God today. Tell him that you are sorry and repent (turn away) from you sins. Ask him to come into your life and make a commitment to live for Him. At the moment that you humble yourself and invite Him into your life He will impart His Holy Spirit into you. This is His seal that you belong to Him, you are a Child of God, and His Spirit will guide you and teach you. You are then a new creation, with new hopes, new desires and a new eternal destination – God’s Kingdom. You are born again, forever.
