HOPE

Heavenly Father, thank You for the hope I have in You. Before I knew You, I was lost. Now, I have the hope of eternity in Your new creation -- without pain or death. Lord, thank You for rescuing me. Amen.

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.

Psalm 31:24

Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 1:21

To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.

No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

Psalm 25:1-4

The faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel that has come to you.

Colossians 1:5

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 10:23

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.

Psalm 31:24

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Romans 12:12

Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, bwe shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

1 John 3:2-3

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Romans 5:1-5

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you man overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13

The Future is full of doubt, indeed, but fuller still of hope.

John Lubbock

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Romans 8:23-25
