TEMPATION
Heavenly Father, help me to stand strong again temptation. I am surrounded by desires that I know are contrary to Your will for me. Lord, my body is weak, help me to be strong in spirit. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on Your eternal goal and not the pleasure of a fleeting moment here. Amen.
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak."

One great mistake we make about temptation is to feel as if the time spent in enduring them was all lost time. Days pass, perhaps, and we have been so beset with temptations as to feel we have made no progress. But it often happens that we have been serving the Lord far more truly while thus "continuing with him" in temptation, than we could have in our times of comparative freedom from it.
